In continuation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that IMT Solutions has been implementing, on 15th November, 2014 at University of Science, IMT Solutions, in association with University of Science, had organized a seminar about applying Agile Scrum in Software Development. The purpose of this event is to supplement students with new knowledge and best practices being used by IMT.
The seminar attracted the participation of over 100 students and it was a great occasion for them to understand how new technologies are applied, what is the gap between the knowledge they get from university and the requirements from real work.
Mr. Quoc Lam, CTO of IMT Solutions, started the seminar by introducing briefly about the company, its history of development, culture, services, and core competencies. Then, he moved forward directly to the topic of the seminar which was “Applying Agile Scrum in Software Development”.

This part presented clearly not only what Agile Scrum is, how it works and the process of applying it in software development but also pointed out some strengths and weaknesses of Agile Scrum when IMT implements it.
Many interesting questions had been raised. Some of them are comparing the difference between this model and Waterfall model? How it could be applied in big, medium and small projects? The difficulty when applying it to big project? The type of project that suits Agile Scrum, etc.
Agile Scrum with Dojo
To help students better understand and practice the knowledge they have just approached, Mr. Hiep, a certified Agile Scrum Master from IMT Solutions, hosted a simple version of Agile Coding Dojo. Students were really interested in this game and took part in excitedly under the guidance of IMT Solutions’ engineers. Five (5) awards were given to 5 students who gave the best answers.
